hi guys, what's the best way to go about changing the obd ,i've got one from srappies, as the red grey wire on mine has come loose,i've never done any soldering so i will count that out,was thinking about just cutting wires, joining them together and putting a piece of shrink tube over it,what do think any ideas, pat

just solder it, i use a small gas soldering iron, its easy, there will be an instruction video on youtube!!

obviously you will need to put insulation on too!

its better to solder, then you get a good solid connection!

theres also a 12v line in there, you dont want that coming loose and causing a fire!!

the grey/red i think is for the air suspension, goes to pin 1 of the dlc is that correct?

Solder and heat shrink is the only way. If the connections are not 100% sound any diagnostic system plugged into it will just not communicate..especially the EAS, that's the worst of the lot for giving communication problems.
Fair play to you for being upfront about your soldering skills, better than plodding on and making a pigs ear of it.
Where are you based, I am sure someone on here will be more than willing to do it for you, it's only a ten minute job....you never know, you may even get a few lessons on how to do it.
