Obd reader

So was driving into a field today and after several bits of stopping to open a gate driving a short distance the stopping repeated several times the landy showed a gearbox error. I feel it is time yo get a obd reader.

I have a disco 4 2016. I don't want to spend a fortune just want something to read faults and reset.
Also if possible sort out battery when I change the which I feel maybe soon.

If you've got battery problems, a gearbox fault is common to show up. Fully charge the battery or replace if it's no good

I am not looking o spend a fortune on the iid bt one I am looking at a icarsoft one that price range

I know you want cheap but get a Gap IID Tool or Nanocom or Foxwell.

Personally due to the complexity of these vehicles try and get the best reader u can, the gap iid is around £420 and will also calibrate ur suspension, not many other code readers can do that

will pay for itself very quickly, some of the very cheap generic readers can give the wrong codes

as mentioned if urs is stop start need to check both batteries as a low battery can cause untold issues with lighting the instrument panel up like a xmas tree
