Recently bought a td5 with 'a bit of a leak' I've just topped up the empty reservoir and done a system test with a hawkeye. I now have a nice big puddle around the o/s front bumper and a nice spray pattern around the wheel arch
How hard is it to replace that pipe? Any pointers welcome including disconnecting it:D
Cheers Rob

Remove relay R14 and top up the reservoir then only the oil from that ram should leak out and the rest to remain in the system ...dont drive it with empty reservoir cos you'll kill the pump... to replace the pipe is not a killer and you'll need new block seal and clip too if that's what you want or you can fix it with flexible pipe and fittings as to let a piece near the block intact or convert the block if you want.... google out ''discovery ace pipe repair" and you'll see plenty of solutions
