Number plates

Hi everyone, does anyone know of any decent websites to order number plates from for a freelander?

most garages are now dvla registered ...give them a ring or auto shop..halfords..take prove id...and log book ..walk in ..walk out

Or if you're going to a private plate then you'll need to take the letter of authorisation from the DVLA to make up that particular number.
Plates these days tend to be one of two standard shapes, the usual in-line type or the square one usually for the rear plate. Typeface and colours are also standardised to be properly legal.

So you don't have to mess about with log books etc.

Just search Ebay... I have ordered several sets over the years and always good. Pick road legal ones not show plates, you don't need to produce any documents and you will save a fair few £s.
2 days later they pop through the door.

it seems now its law that where you get plates from have dvla registered code on the plate to show they were from a registered dealer.. or just the garage/ shop name...i have private plates and there marked with shop name

As said bought several from eBay, not had a problem/not even mentioned ever, as long as the size/font/spacing and material meet regs and they are loads cheaper.

Yep, me too. Never had a problem at mots with bikes or a car as long as they meet regs and I don't have to send a copy of or show the original logbook to a total stranger.

I was once told by a police officer to use eBay while he was giving me a ticket for no plate on my trailer. I had just had the light bar and plate nicked while on a job so bought a new one from halfords on way home but no I'd so no plate then got pulled great day that.

I would go through eBay too. Ilegal but quicker cheaper and little risk of being a problem
