Number of Splines.... 36 or 48.....

Hi, I have just bought another Landie 90 after being forced into selling my last one and buying a...... BMW.......!

I got rid of the reason for buying the Bavarian POS....... my ex-wife and now got back what I want!!

Can anybody tell me how many splines a 2001 Td5 90 has on the top of the steering column?

I want to put a Mountney wheel on, 'cos the original one is not pleasent.....

I've been told they are in fact same as the early 90's, 36 spline, it's easier to measure the shaft to be safe, should be 17.5mm for 36 spline and 3/4" (19mm) for 48 spline.
