After taking the family out on the greenlanes a couple of time in the old leaf sprung series 2 my Wife has decided she likes it but can do with out the aches that result from pre technology motoring.

We are selling the family MPV and looking for a Disco.....looking to be a 300Tdi up to a max of about 7k.

Anything in particular that should be looked at carefully, or any other advice much appreciated.

upto 7k you should get a real good example for that
low miles and FSH for a TDi
you could even pick up a TD5 for that sort of money private

OK, we had a drive of a Tdi today and I found it a little disapointing as far as using it for the normal family car goes. Unfortunatley they also had a V8 there which I must admit was not what I had been planning on but it was such a good drive that I am seriouosly tempted. It has a gas conversion done by the people who are selling it (they have a proven track record in this field) so I am told that the cost of running it is no where near the cost of a petrol only model.
What is the genaral feel on the V8? The rest of the car is by far one of the best we have seen.
