Arse!
took the 90 for its first real 'far away' drive since its rebuild. went to hastings. yup , all the way to hastings and back.
now , when i got to hastings i noticed the temp was reading , well it was reading like it had only been started and there was clouds of smoke from the exhaust when pulling away from traffic lights.
i pulled over and low and behold all the cooling system was cold , full but cold. i checked the oil and it was very low , off the dip stick low so i tried to drive it to a garage but when i pulled away from where i parked up there was a lot of grinding and shuddering from the front half of the vehicle somewhere so i pulled over again.
i checked everything underneath (i have a worn prop , driving members and diff flange on the front) then drove to a petrol station so get oil , the garage had no oil for a turbo engine so he told us to go to the one 1/2 a km up the road , its was actually 11 miles away in rye  , so , put some oil in and drove it home , still the guage was reading 'just started' cold all the way back to london.
any ideas why my engine is running so cold? its a 19j.

oh , the hard work bit , my arms , back , neck and head are killing and my eyes feel like they have been pickled.

when i bought my landy last summer it was running really really hot and then through the winter it was stone cold. i replaced the thermostat and flushed the system back in jan and all has been well since :)

oil levels also seem to effect the temp as i had a landy at work 2 winters ago on a long job and over the course of 2 weeks the heaters seems to work less and less. engine temp was just about ok but heaters were ****ter than usual. turned out to be the oil level running low.

hope this helps

cheers guys.
im gonna flush the system and see if that helps.
just drove it to maplins , around 5 miles of 40 mph and it went up as far as the first quarter so its got better , twas cold last night though.

on a brighter note , i cleared my first thousand miles last night since the rebuild. yay.
