nothing when i turn the key

Hi I am new to your page but after help. I have a Tdi300 pick up (Betty) that was running lovely but now will not start. I have full battery power and all electrics are working but when I turn the key not even a click from the starter motor. any ideas from people would be great.

Do you have any ignition lights coming up? You could try big blue 60A fuse in the under the bonnet fuse box

Do you have an immobilizer?
Anywhoo, look at all the cables going to the starter, one of them is much thinner, pull it off and check that it is clean and tight fitting, also clean the male spade that the wire fits to.

Might be your ignition switch, I had the back of the switch pop out on mine so it wasn't engaging properly. You can replace just the switch unit rather than the whole barrel if needed. Symptoms on mine were everything working until trying the starter and then nothing.

turn on the ignition and short out the solenoid to see if it'll crank then.
