Well if you looked after them so well why have you had eight? One would last that long if it was well maintained :rolleyes::D

You should always be using a high detergent oil in a diesel! ;)

Sorry but they were all new and cost nothing to change, no depreciation. The best was my first 300tdi from 1994, it was one of the first few and had a pair of electric cooling fans and was quite fast, I often cruised it at over 90mph for hours, I was living in Germany at the time. My least liked is my last one bought in 1998, it has always had starting problems, electrical problems and I am now tracing a roof level leak. It isn't the rear sunroof !!! I still own it though.
 
you should allways use detergent oil , flushing agents are usually paraffin not the best to put in side an engine,draining hot is best even with 5/30
