Not the water pump -Help!!

Having been told by the nice RAC man that my water pump had gone, you could see coolant appearing to come out from the right hand side of the pump, I have just replaced it and find there is still a leak from the same place. Water literally pours out when I fill the radiator.

Any ideas anybody!!!!

Is it just behind the pump?

a picture of exactly where it's leaking from might be of assistance

Sean's right a picture would help but it potentially may be the P gasket which is behind the water pump area.

Thanks for the replies. but mine is a V8 not a TDi so no P-gasket.

I posted my problem when I had just finished, I was freezing and wet so didn't put the details down properly, I'll post tomorrow with pics. I've had enough for today!!
