Hi All

First time poster and firt time discovery owner - please be gentle.

6 months ago i managed to change all the door springs to make the central locking work on my 1994 discover 300 TDi. about 2 days ago the passenger door stopped locking on the central locking and i assumed the springs, however turns out it doesn't lock on the key and i cannot even push the lock down by hand.

I haven't even taken the panel off yet to have a look but wondered if someone else has had this experience already and what it took to overcome it.

When locking on the fob it goes down slightly and bounces back up (i mean just a tiny movement) and when trying on the key it wont allow the key to turn and pushing it down from inside it just doesn't go.

Any experience of this - I'm pretty handy but am not familiar with door workings so if you have an answer then layman's terms would be good

On my Disco I fixed this by adjusting the metal plate mounting that holds the actuator on the driver door. You have to remove the door card and pull off some of that black sticky stuff to access, the plate holes are slotted to allow adjustment, try a little left or right and note what happens. An eighth of a inch makes a world of difference..
