not surprised at all

well after getting the oil leak on the back of the engine sorted,i am not surprised that something else has gone wrong,the problem this time a siezed vcu in the transfer box,i heard the tyres scrub a bit in the car park and when i did the the old jack up the front corner gearbox in neutral transfer box in neutral and applied a 60lb ft torque to the wheel it,s locked solid,so thats my motor off the road,to try and save anymore damage untill i can get the finances to buy a new vcu,quite gutted at the moment,especially as it,s best part of £300 for a new one.

the rovacom might have to go to pay for it???

oh dear, it seems these cars are ****. i blame the manufacturer

i think mine wasn,t looked after all that well,so far nearly 3k spent on it in 8 months,im hoping when this is sorted that it will give me some breathing space before the next problem,or it could be an empty field petrol and a match and have one hell of a barby

well if it gets torched can i have the engine please, i'll melt one of my blocks to put back in its place!!!

anyway ordered the new vcu should be here tommorow,just a same i serviced the damn thing on sunday,what a waste of transmission oil

at least i'll get a week in a range rover!!!! thats more than ive had since crimbo day!

in fact i think they should come with one of those flip down seats from the disco in the engine bay. then i'd have somwhere to sit while tinkering with the feckin thing

well the cars running like a dream since the new vcu was fitted,it was a pain removing the transmission crossmember,i think the neighbours were annoyed as i did it friday night,stripped it at about six but belting the crossmember back in at 10.30 woke some of the oldies up,but tough i needed the car saturday morning

if theyre old then they wont have to put up with it much longer!!!

very true mate,they can,t complain really,after all they all come running to me when they have car problems

never mind, by that time i'm hopeing to have bought my own mechanic and i can then tell him when to work and how noisy to be!!!! lol!!!
