Obviously in the recent weather a warm car is useful, just sure about mine so what are they normally like?
The engine temp indicator rises as normal from cold but the cabin takes ages to warm up (heated seats are a godsend). It does demist the screen but takes ages to get to the top.
Even with it on recirculate it can take 20 minutes before there is any appreciable warmth.
It is a Td4 03 with Aircon

This is why the FBH is fitted, not so much for getting the engine warm as for cabin heat in particularly cold weather.

you could always partially block the radiator as a temporary bodge.

I'd try to put it on recirculation until your windows start to get misty, and put the airdistribution knob to the front dashboard vents, (same as for the airco in the summer), that positition helped for me.

Back flushed heater matrix and I think the block although there are some discrepancies between the Rave disk and what is under my bonnet. Refilled with 50% antifreeze mix and tested for leaks.
Temperature seemed to stabilise at a slightly lower temperature but ran out of time to do a full test. Will try a longer run tomorrow.
