Quick update guys - The parcel arrived after four days but the the dizzi cap was buggered so I e-mail them and let them know about that and the rad cap. e-mailed back the same day and told that a new dizzi cap is on the way already and that it is coming with a rad cap so I can see if that is any better than the other. Simple, effective service that is designed to encourage repeat custom. They know their business and it shows; they're the only mail order LR parts Coy I'll recommend.

But late in the day but at least you guys actually got as far as having parts shipped out. :(

I've just ordered a new wiring loom and due to my "excluded postcode" I'm supposed to be phoned by Craddocks so they can confirm the shipping costs. Ordered online just before lunchtime on Tuesday, still hadn't heard from them by close of play on Thursday. And that after giving them a prod by phoning them myself at 4.45 pm on Wednesday and being promised a call back when they "found" my order.

First call tomorrow (Friday) is to Craddocks to cancel my order. After more than 48 hours it's pretty obvious they can't be arsed. Won't be using them again in a hurry.

fs i ordered some bits from yankland at the end of last week, they got here yesterday.. and them was a shed load cheaper than anywhere this side of the puddle

paddocks express delivery took a 8days to make it up to aberdeenshire to me! that was through a delivery company! had other bits from padd's and craddocks through the regular posty an they turned up in reasonable time!

i've bought some stuff from the states that turned up in less than a week as well! apparently US mail is supposed to be pants but maybe better than some UK delivery folk!!!

Needn't have bothered. Crappocks didn't have any record of me ordering online in any case. Better keep an eye on the old credit card bill just the same :(

Does Paddocks do wiring looms? I've only been able to find autosparks and the wiring loom company

As mentioned in previous threads/posts, my company manufactures specialist looms, but I assume yu want a standard one - and fur wot motor?

and before Yella sez it - they are expensive , but can supply in a full range of colours:D

Wot I need is a company that will fulfill my order and not make it a 'hard buy'. And one that doesn't think the Highlands are somewhere near Mars when it comes to shipping it out. :)

Apart from that, what I need is a loom for a 1962 2A. Originally, it was a diesel but, somewhere along the line, a later petrol 2.25 engine was transplanted.
It's negative earth and I have fitted an alternator. The engine has the two water temperature senders, so I'm planning to put a S3 gauge in to get a water temperature gauge.

i wont buy from crappocks any more , any thing ive ever bought from these so called land rover 'specialists' has been of sub standard quality and has very seldom done the job it was intended for.
il buy genuine parts if there is no generic alternative and for critical parts like bearings etc i will only buy genuine.
its worth the extra.
what gets me is people always complain about craddocks selling cheap rubbish parts but when they need something they buy it from craddocks , if you keep buying this crap they will keep selling it.

i got my harness from autosparks , took a week cos they had to make it up but the quality is very good , i mean very very good.
phone them up and have a word , they pretty much know what they are doing.

Reet then Paddocks have ****ed me off now they've fergotten me order for the second week running and promised to ring me back in five minutes twenty minutes ago. They've set my rebuild malarky back by a month. So thats Beam Ends, Craddocks an now Paddocks that I've ferked off. Who shall I go to next?
