Hi

I agree with you irish, but i was told they didn't need doing, although i read different on this forum. At the time i hadn't had the car long, so you trust the people that fix it. I paid £370 for for the blend motors and to have them fitted in Nottingham, so i thought that wasn't a bad price. you live and learn.

Regarding the self calibration Paul.....I think it is in the ETM part of the "Rave" cd. From what i can work out, the times between calibrations get longer, the more times the car is started, up to a maximum of 500 between calibrations. I don't know if this resets with a new Hevac unit. All i did was work on a basis i needed to "start" the car 500 times. It says the blower is inhibited when it is calibrating the motors, so i turned them on full, got a pen and paper and prepared for boredom!! All i did was turn the ignition on and (not the engine) and waited for the blowers to come on, when they did, i turned the ignition off. The cycle took about 5 or 6 seconds. Then i marked it down on the paper. When the blowers didn't come on, i could hear the motors moving, took about 10 or so seconds, then blowers came back on. Job done! Simple, but very time consuming. but at the end of the day, i saved myself a lot of money. Hope this helps.

Kev
