Northerngit says Hi!

Heya,

Back in a Landy again after a brief spell away from our TD5XS (that we had to trade for a Disco due to baby arrival!).

Kept the Disco and bought a old 300TDi 90 truck ready for some TLC some upgrades and one day a hulking great V8!

Anyone got any pointers on which are the best seats for comfort as well as ISOFIX points for the Passenger seat and or decent seats for the Rear - we just need to able to transport me, wifey, dog and Baby in an emergency

We live in the middle of nowhere in oxfordshire (right in the flood zone!).

Sheesh - just tried to get insurance - Wasnt expecting that! Should the fact it is registered as a van make such a difference???!!!

Leeds is deffo Northern but you have absconded and gone South. Shame on you. Hope you are teaching them to talk proper, like what we does.

I'm also a Northern Git south of the Wash - wonder how the southerners can always tell - I get a bath at least once a month!! Try the NFU for insurance

In other news... I should also confess that I have gone for the defender myself this time as last itme it was my wife's. I have dine this Si we both have a car that can get us out of our house in the bad weather, but the main reason is that I wanted something I can tow my race car to the tracks in and let my wife play on the off road scene (we both run our own track cars but as I kept beating her she switched to offloading and kicked my arse!)

If anyone is interested (any more petrol heads out there) we run a highly modified impreza P1, and a ford powered lotus Elise!

Any other impreza / lotus people on here - or do I now sound like a mentalist?

Finally can anyone point me in the direction of a front seat thread - I need something comfy!

Welcome to the forum. You've got some right kit, haven't you ?!

There are several seats on FleaBay, but they're bloody expensive (for us tight bloody tykes).

I have a seat from the new defender tdci in my old 110, its brilliant.
