non working tail lights

hi
i was wondering if someone can help me, none of my rear tail lights work on my disco i have put new bulbs in and only the right hand bumper one worked now thats gone out, the brake light part of the rear cluster works but not the tail light, only rear lights that work are the fog lights. can someone give me some advice please. i thought it maybe a earth issue but don't know where to start.

The bulb holders are notorious for corroding on the inside.
Take the bulb back out and inspect.

I think I've replaced most of mine over time...

Same as mark.when you take rear light out u can see the floor looking thru hole.so water and crap gets in corrodes the terminals.

had a look at the bulb holders and there all fine, the lights did work when i brought it, could it be a earth short somewhere.

To check for a bad earth.

Unscrew the speakers either side of the boot door then unclip the trim from both sides.

Earth point is located on either side just above each rear cluster. 10mm spanner to whip the nut off to clean it all up with a bit of emery cloth. Takes literally a few minutes to check.

checked the earth points and all appears fine. think i shall have to take it and get it looked at.
