Disco 2 Non starter

Hi can any one help me plz ,my disco 2 will turn over but not start,the glow plug light not working no temp gauge m&s lights flashing I've found out that I have no power going to F1 or F2 fuse in engine fuse box,does any now what could be the problem, it's had a new ignition barrel, replaced internal fuse box & I've had ecu & bcu checked, any help will stop me going mad

Hi. Replace relay R9 or swap with R8(heated screen) for test then if no joy push on the inertia switch on the firewall, if still no joy unplug it and bridge the terminals in the plug and try... if nothing of these helps we'll speak again

Fuse F1 feeds the engine ECU so no power there isn't going to help.
Power to both F1 and F2 are through the "Main Relay" R9

Hi I've tryed that no good, I've put a wire from F1 to positive on battery it will start once I remove the wire it won't

Check fuse F13 engine bay and if it's good you should rule out an interruption on the inertia switch's circuit but for that you have to remove the engine bay fusebox...do you have RAVE?

Your description there does suggest a problem with or around the main relay and the inertia switch. The only device between the main power and F1 and F2 is the contact of the main relay R9.

Hi thanx for that but what is RAVE, I've replaced the engine fuse box so I thought the problem must be before the fuse box

Did it work before you replaced the fusebox?

the manual which contains everything you need for a troubleshooting cos i can guide you but you need the connector views so download and install disc 1 http://www.myrangerover.co.uk/rave-workshop-manual/ then when you can access the Eletrical library - connector views come back and i'll tell you more

Hi thanx for that I work away all WK so can only look at my Landy on Saturday's, I'll down load & try that nxt WK, will let you now how I get on

Hi mate I've found two broken wires in the n/s inner flitch white & green and a brown one, repaired them and it all seems to be working fine now fingers crossed, thank you for all your help
