Noisy Drive shaft

:dizzy: Hi can anyone, help My 2000(Y) freelander Auto is noisy (Knocking) at low speed, it appears to be coming from the Drive shaft, the CV gaiters are fine and there is no damage. the Drive shaft has slight movement from left to right, but there is no movement when trying to rotate. Is this normal. open to ideas.

I would take it off and have a look under the gaitor see if it needs regreasing/renewing. If it's the drivers side check the lower engine mount too as this was knocking on mine and I'm sure it's what causes my IRD to fail.
