Hi
Not sure if anyone can help me out ,I have a freelander 2 , 11 reg, 2.2 td4.
For over a year now I've a had a intermittent whistle/ high squeal coming from drivers side of car when I accelerate, then it goes, I have taken it to landrover and had the intercooler changed it was leaking oil, has turbo checked all OK
, had timming belt changed etc, in 2020 January, but still the noise, I've had 3 garages tell me they can not find a fault with it, I have poured water over the belts and that did stop the noise until they dried out a couple of months ago, it makes no difference to the car whatsoever, but obviously I would like to get what ever it is sorted . Any ideas?
Also my Bluetooth phone button has stopped working does anybody know if I can fix that? Will it be a fuse maybe?
Many thanks for your help
Alison

Was the AUX belt replaced at the same time as the timing belt?

There isn't a BT button, do you mean the large PHONE button isn't working? Or doesn't the system connect to your phone automatically?

Hi yes the AUX belt was done too, and yes it's the bit button with the phone on it, it was working fine my daughter pressed it too quickly then that was it ,nothing now.

It's possibly the alternator, or the slipper pulley on the alternator, but it's impossible to say for sure without looking at the vehicle.

The audio system needs a diagnostic read, to identify the issue.
