Hi - 2004 FL1 TD4, a sort of sloshy ticking noise is sometimes apparent from RH rear wheel arch area - not always there and can stop but whether it is or not car drives fine - any ideas please as only noticed it last week & had the car over a year

Sounds like noisey fuel pump. That is under the rear wheel arch. Get low pressure pump fuel pressure checked. If ok leave it until noise gets worse!!

As above also while in there if you do check change the fuel filter, and maybe drain the sediment pot.

Another thing it could be, if you have noticed in the cold more than other times, is the FBH dosing pump the little one in the photo.

have you noticed any white smoke, coming from the near side lower wheel arch at the front, it could be the FBH kicking in due to being below 5c

Yes FBH has been running, didn’t notice the noise last winter but a good call - thanks
