noise from disco

every time i start my disco up it starts squeaking any ideas what might be when it warms up its ok

Serpentine belt.

water pump?

the belt. rub a bit of vasaline on it and see if the cures the squeak, if it does change the belt.

All of the above, plus check your power steering fluid level.

Most discos look like the remnants AFTEr a huuuuge rat has been at it.

while you're checking the belt, you might want to check everything it runs... mine is being a nightmare at the mo, we did the belt and tensioner, that helped the steering, then the alternator died, and i ordered a new waterpump today, just need some nice mug to fit it for me!!

Mine started a skweekin and a screechin en route to Spain, early morning in France, very cold and icy. I thought it was the alternator/serpentine belt. Made mental noteto retension or insert penny (cent?) then an hour or 2 later on motorway there was a stinky burning rubber smell in car. It was the pulley bearing on the aircon tensioner what had seized and was melting me belt.

And if all else fails then drown it in wd40, this should work for a few weeks at a time and it probably won't do it when the weather warms up anyway.....just remember though if you do this then either do it with the engine off or stand to one side!!!
