Hi Nodge,
Is the Freelander ready? I have the cash ready if the price is right.
regards
Mudinuri
Not yet.
I've been busy with work recently, but will look to get the MOT done in the next couple of weeks. I didn't think you wanted it, so didn't push myself to get it ready for sale.

Hi Nodge,
If it"s as good as you say it is then I will be interested as long as the price is right. If you are not interested in taking mine in p/x then I will have to come to Newquay by train.

For the age of it, it's pretty good. I've been doing some touching up of the under-seal, in key areas underneath. I want to get the rear subframe off to protect the area's that are impossible to get to with it in place. I'll change the rear diff oil while I'm there.
There were some stuffs on the corners of the bumpers, but that's not uncommon for cars used in narrow Cornish lanes. I polished out the scuffs I could get out, but a couple will need painting to eliminate them completely, but I'd just live with them if I was keeping it.
I've changed the engine oil and filter, and replaced the air filter. The Haldex will get fresh fluid and a filter while it's out for the subframe protection work.

Well as I said, if the price is right and I can get down to Newquay I might be interested but I would like to see it before committing to buying. I might persuade my wife to come with me for a look.
cheers

No problem. I'll do a video walk around so you can see what it's like, before coming down to look at it.

Just incase you're not aware, it's an i6 HSE which I'll have for sale.
The i6 was the flagship model, featuring a 235 BHP 3.2L silky smooth straight 6 Volvo petrol engine.

Hi again.
No I didn"t realise it was a Petrol engine, so I"m sorry but I really do not want to bother you any more. The last Petrol engined cars I had were a 1275cc Mini Cooper and I sold that to buy a new Mark 1 XR2 in 1983 then I sold that a few years later to buy my first Diesel which was CITROEN ZX VOLCANE TD and I have had Diesels ever since, so sorry mate no more Petrols for me. Thanks.

Not a problem, I wasn't sure if you knew what an i6 was.
As for reliability, the Volvo straight 6 is generally more reliable than the Peugeot engine fitted to the diesel Freelander 2. There's no EGR valves, no EGR coolers, no throttle body, or expensive injectors to go wrong and no DPFs to clog up either.
The i6 is also ULEZ compliant, meaning it can be driven inside the M25 as of October 23, without an additional charge.
It isn't as good on fuel as the diesel though, and the RFL is more, but that's to be expected for the flagship model.
