I've lost power going to the heater switch checked fuse and it not blown and there is power on either side of the fuse any ideas thanks

No power to the control on the dash I did have day before now nothing and I haven't changed or touched nothing
Can I run a new power to the purple wire under the bonnet and earth it the other end on control switch

You should have a purple/green feed going from the fuse to the motor.

From the motor to the switch you should have a Green/Yellow and a Green/Slate, with a Black from the switch to earth.

You will/should not get 12V at the switch, as the voltage would be reduced by the lecky coils in the motor.

Basically, the fan switching is done on the -ive rather than on the +ive side of the switch.

Ive got them wires running right, I'm positive I had a +live from one of the green wires that plug into the switch as I was planing on putting it to an on/off switch instead

From my diagrams that will blow the switch as, according to mine you control through the -ive side of the heater circuits!

So if it all earth from switch if I put a live to the purple wire under bonnet fan should turn on. Because as it turning colder I will do anything to have some heat working in it again

A direct +ive feed to the Purple/Green at the fan should work.

If it doesn't, try touching the Green/Yellow or Green/Slate to earth and see if that spins your fan.

If none of that works, your fan must be either knackered or siezed.

Have you checked that the fan actually turns without any lectrickery to it?

I'll give it ago the weekend and then go from there fingers crossed as driving to work is horrible with out a little bit of heat

Fixed my mates, its a fault on the wire from the ignition to the fuse box, tested it and no power at the fuse,

Had a play around today got a few jobs sorted on my 90, I put live+ to the purple/green wire from heater under bonnet and I had stereo come on still no power to heaters were do I go from now to finding my fault to see if heater actually work or not thanks

OK, now that you have power to the +ive at the motor, try touching either the Green/Yellow or the Green/Slate to earth and see if the motor runs up.

You do have 12V to the motor, right?

All you need to do is flash it up to see if it turns, so do not make off a permanent connection a this stage, and don't connect both the G/Y and G/S at the same time, otherwise you will burn out the windings!

Ye tryed that and nout not even a spark when I touched earth, also should my stereo of come on when I put a live to the purple wire.
I'll give it another go weekend as I'll remove air intake in bonnet and check for mud a dirt
