no main beam

I recently lost main beam and flash and did a search which suggests that my switch could be burned out. I have 6 spots fitted, all through relays so wondered if its the switch, can i get a switch that will cope with the spots? Surely switch only triggers relays so dosent have more power going through it or am i missing something?

No you're not missing something. My flash stopped working until I cleaned the switch contacts with some fine sandpaper. You might be able to take the case off the relay and clean the contacts of that too. If they are all black and half melted I would fit a new relay.
