No indicators or hazards

Hi all, thanks for the add..I have just purchased a freelander TD4 2.0 diesel 53 plate. On way home indicators worked fine however realised the hazard lights didn't work and the switch is not lit. A day later and now the indicators have also stopped working ! .. I have checked all fuses under steering wheel and under bonnet and swapped the relay for another one in the car into the far right relay slot as per Haynes manual but still nothing ...can anyone help if any known issues, as currently cannot drive thanks Marcus

Steering wheel coil can fail which is annoying but doable. I would check fuse and relay once or replace with a fresh one. The indicators wor via the steering coil.have any other switches not working also washer or lights horn radio volume.

Thanks..everything else seems to be working and I have checked every fuse in the car with a multimeter and all good. Excuse my ignorance what'd a steering coil?
