Hi all i have a 2004 hse 2.5v6 auto got in her today turned the key and nothing happens all the dash lights up but nothing else ive had no problem with it starting before today any suggestions would be helpfull regards
trevor.

Did you want someone to come round and do it for you?

The suggestions are the top of the list for none starting.

No im not merchanicaly minded but i like to have a go before i send it to the main stealers

Ok no worries

Squirt some wd40 on the plug to the starter and any earth straps you can see.
Under the dash when the cowling is removed on the ignition barrel there is a switch.

Take this off unplug from the loom unscrew the cover off it and you'll see an array of contacts that open/close depending on where the key is turned. These could be oxidised ( a white compound ) this can be removed with a small piece of sandpaper or fine file.

It's not too difficult to do any q's shout up.

Just a thought...

Are you trying to start it in Park? Perhaps pop it into neutral and try to start it.

Andy.

If you've used it in the last few days could be a frozen inhibuter switch (I think that what it's called ) it only lets you start it in p or n or a dodgy starter.

Thanks guys it has been used up to today and i have moved the gear selector to neutral and tryed it but it still wasn't starting i will try some of the other pointers that have been mentioned out tomorow thanks again to all replys
