No gears overnight

Have a 1996 range rover p38 dse as I've said yesterday run like a train. But today went to go out nothing engine starts fine but no drive had no problems with it just getting 35mph . Coming up do not have EAS running on springs Any help please???

Yes myself and @DanClarke advised why you are seeing the message. Gearbox/drive is a different issue.
More vehicle detail for the good guys to help, and they will with the right info

Have you lost Reverse too?

If not try selecting manual 1st and see if she moves..

Yeah 2.5bmw diesel engine 1996range rover p38 dse been fine until today nothing no 123d high or low engine running fine .had no problem just went to go out today and no gears just message 35mph come up but nothing ?????

when was gearbox oil checked last ?

Hi Kev,
your 35mph max warning is probably the EAS panicking. Did you do the coil conversion with rewired BECM? Is it always there?

Oil ok feel electrics as manual/sport button not lighting up

No brought it done been fine

Forward drive clutch is selected manually it does not need any electrical inputs. Even if none of other gears work it should move in first gear.

No nothing in any gear like I said the day before it was fine . Just went to go out and nothing.

Have you checked the fluid level correctly? Is the gear cable actually connected to the XYZ switch?

Someone nicked yer gearbox?

Nothing if you select 1st manually? Put fuse 11 in under the drivers seat by any chance?
It's possible the Transfer box ECU has failed and shifted it into neutral.

Sprag Clutch gone????

(Not that I know what one is, but have heard them mentioned before when discussing lack of drive!)

If a sprag clutch has failed it should drive in first gear. But not in D.
