no codes

hi all new to this site but looking for some ideas as to what is wrong with my 56 plate freelander td4 the engine light is on with no codes
when u turn the ignition on the engine light comes on as it should then goes off for a split second then comes on again and stays on engine turns over but wont start lp fuel pump is working getting fuel to the injectors its had a new cam sensor maf sensor new seals on the fuel pressure regulator but something seems to b telling the engine not to start any ideas r welcome cheers

Have you checked the rail sensor for corrosion?

If that doesn't show an issue, try disconnecting the MAF and try to start it.

Have you looked at the live data for low rail pressure and high rail pressure while cranking?

ye checked the rail sensor it all checks out ok rite back to the ecu
not tried disconnecting the maf as it was a new one but will give it a go in morning also will check rail pressure as well will let you know how it goes cheers

Immobiliser fault?
i know some vehicles wont allow you to crank, others will crank but not start, others will crank and start then switch srtaight off as they aint happy with the key.

The FL1 won't crank, if it doesn't see the correct transponder code. Turning the key when immobilised to the start position simple results in a warning sounder sounding, the alarm LED flashing and nothing else happens.

What reader are you using?
Has it ever shown any codes before to prove it can read some codes?
Can you clear codes, even though they aren't shown on the reader?
Was the parts changed because of this non start fault?

hi ye the code reader works fine as it has on other landers and my range rover the parts were trial and error of another running motor i can get to clear codes even though they dont show on reader which i have done but makes no diferance ??
