yep that is a standard one, nobody sells the welded ones that i am aware of, I weld up at least 10 a week for my local Landy Indy and he will only use LR ones not the crap copies that the release bearing supports snap off within 2 months

this banter is all well and good chaps, but its not really getting me much closer to getting my car back on the road!

eyop discogadge!

I yint bin funny ere, but i did my clutch at crimbo, bled it all wer fine,
till a week later then i progressivly had no pedal after a couple o days. It dunt lose fluid, but never felt quite rite unlessyer doubled the clutch pedal, Its had a liter an a arf of fluid thro it, but ive never noticed any air present when bleedin it. but it seens t have the same symptoms as yours, lots of pedal movement befor you feel any clutch.
last weekend i dint use it for four days an when i went to use it NO FOOKIN PEDAL ! bled it agen an a load o browny black ****e came out,
its bin ok ever since !
keep bleedin it !;)

just bled it again, putting half a litre through but no air is coming out, seems like it could be getting a bit more resistance but its hard to tell. will force a load more fluid through in the morning when i can see more

Glad thats not just happened to me :D

That why i had to bleed mine. Like I said earlyer open. Open the bleed nipple and let it flow :D

well i appear to have fixed this problem for the moment. The problem was that the push rod wasn't long enough?!?!? I overcame this by extending it with the use of a sawn off bolt in the end of the slave cylinder, effectively lengthening it

Are there different length rods as or different slave cylinders for different bell housings as i'm not using the original slave/bellhousing combo?

Any other reasons why you think this problem arose?

one problem i came across was on the clutch pedal they is a bolt attaching it to the master cylinder in the footwell well that bolt comes loose also the bolt is an oval shape so depending where you lock it up affects the pedal on the car. Before i re adjusted/tightened this bolt the disco would not engage any gears so might be worth al ook also they is two bushes around the bolt which might be worn
