No Cigar / Aux Power ?!!!??

Hi all - Happy New Year !
I've got a problem with my Freebie in that I have no power coming from either my Cigarette lighter socket or the Aux power socket behind the centre armrest. I've checked the obvious fuses inside the car but they're OK. Is this a common problem, one that is sorted quite easily, or is it going to be one for an auto-electrician ?

Take the center console/cubby cox out and see if it's connected.
