I have a Discovery 2 TD5, recently had to change the rear tailgate as a lorry had bent it, before removing the damaged door I removed the door skin and disconnected every electrical connection and pulled the whole lot through. I fitted the new door and reconnected all of the sockets everything works... Heated rear window, central locking, rear wiper & washer. But since the change my Brake lights and reverse lights have stopped working ... I've checked and replaced the fuse, I've replaced all 3 brake light bulbs for new, changed the brake switch for new, still no lights Brake or reverse ... What do I do next? The only electrical connection to the replacement door is the high level brake light which is connected fine???

Help I'm stuck now!!

Michael

Morning,

Welcome to the loonyzone, not sure if it makes a difference but LR did change the rear lights at one point . Which Year is yours?
Have you checked you have voltage with a tester or multimeter?

Do you have the electrical diagrams? Have you downloaded the Rave workshop manual?

Cheers

As above, the MY of the vehicle and tell exactly which fuse did you check/change, can you confirm 100% it was F25 intetrior fusebox?

There wasn't an earth cable to connect, like I said I'd completely removed the vehicles tailgate loom and reconnected it to the replacement door, if an earth connection existed before it would have remained
