Disco 2 No AC - any ideas?

So out driving today and tried to use the Auto setting on the system to cool the air - set temps to LO on both sides but just ambient air coming in. Hooked up Nanocom and under Inputs I could see that all of the AC (Clutch, Fan) etc were set to OFF - nothing I did would set them to ON

I tried the TEST under Output but as I was driving the car I couldn't actually see if it did anything.

Is there a fuse anywhere or something that I have missed? I checked for gas on the Low side and it seems to have plenty of gas.

The compressor's fuse or relay won't affect the clutch request sent by the ECU cos that's what you see with nanocom if there is a request or not so IMO something doesnt work to make the ECU to send the request, is everything else working the only problem is that it doesnt give cold air?

1. make sure that the ECON is not accidentaly set
2. run a diagnostic for the A/C system
3. if these are ruled out and no result you'll have to remove the front grille, unplug the dual pressure switch and bridge the pins in the plug, if iot starts then it's most probably low pressure and you'll need a regas cos the switch itself rarely fails

So I ran a test of the Clutch and it worked - saw it click in and rotate momentarily - repeated several times
Tried to run the AC fan - relay clicked but fan did not move
Found 2 blown fuses - a 40 amp and next to it a 20 amp - replaced both
Swapped over the ac fan relay and it again clicked but fan still did not move
Did a test of the AC system from the LCD and got FC 00 - so no faults there.
Why would a failed AC fan stop it working - I can imagine it would cause it to be less efficient but not stop it completely - so I am thinking it's not that
I will try your suggestion and bypass the low pressure switch to see if that kicks it into life.

The fan is most probably seized but it has no effect on the clutch request, remove that 40A fuse untill you troubleshoot that cos it will just blow again but the wiring might be ''tenderised" untill then... it might be as simple as low gas pressure though

Has anyone got a fuse list as to what does what? I'm wondering what that blown 20amp one is for

As Sierrafery has already suggested are you sure there is any refridgerant in the system? Not sure about the disco set-up but most other cc/ac systems will not fire up the compressor if the system pressure is too low.

When I depress the pin in the Low side fill valve I get a definite hiss - so it has some in for sure but whether it's enough I don't know yet. I'll bypass the LP switch to see if it fires up. Have to start looking for a good used air con electric fan now too
