Might be a dumb question but what steering wheels are compatible for a defender? Cheers
I know this wont help you for your Defender, but for anyone else reading this thread... A Discovery 1 wheel will fit onto a TD5 column. When I asked my local Land Rover dealer about buying a new TD5 steering wheel about 3 years ago he told be they actually had one in stock..... cost £240 !!! That's why I went to Halfords and bought a really nice MoMo and mount for about half the cost of the genuine wheel. I never really liked the black Hovis shaped centre pad on the TD5 anyway. LOL

I've a Nardi Classic in mine. It's 360mm so just over 14 inches and I think it's perfect.

This is my Momo 14 inch steering wheel........ if the picture attaches. It's the first time I tried to attach a picture on the zone. Hooray, I managed it. The wheel looks small and chunky but it is a 14".

Wheel porn lol, very nice, how much did that set you back? Looks very luxurious!! Any links?

I can't remember exactly how much it cost as I have had it about 5 years, but I have a feeling it was around £110 including the mounting boss. I chose it from the Momo catalogue at Halfords and they ordered it for me. It was a hard choice to make as there were so many great designs in the catalogue and they only had a couple on display in the shop. I'm sure that if they had them all on display they would sell a lot more. By the way the centre disc is a horn button. I'méáá

Is it the old classic mini steering wheels that get sold as Landy sport steering wheels on ebay? Should be able to pick one of those up fairly cheap.

interesting topic, im thinking of changing the standard large steering wheel on my newly acquired 1987 90,
would anyone know the spline count on the above, its still got the original on.

Best way I always found to remove is losen the main nut then grab the steering wheel pull and push wobble it from side to side and it usually pops up then just undo the nut and take wheel of good luck
