Hello all,

This looks like a nice friendly forum.

I have just bought my first ever 4x4 which is a Freelander 1 XEi petrol model; needed this for work as the last half mile to the office is off road.
Am enjoying driving it so far.

People are telling me I made a mistake buying the petrol model...? Funny how they always advise you after the event!

I would be interested to hear any views from other petrol owners on here, good bad or ugly!

Will be posting a few questions later.

Eyup, nowt up wi' a K series as long as you're on top with the maintenance and aware of potential issues.

It's mainly OMG!HGF!; common to most K series but there's plenty of info on that . Otherwise it's the usual VCU/IRD issues common to all Gaylanders.

Hmmm, is there a 'thank you' button anywhere that I am missing?
In the last forum I used for my Merc it was good for quickly thanking someone for useful posts.
I don't want people to think I am ignoring them...
