My NFU renewal has almost doubled in price this year, having always hovered around the £200 - £250 mark for the last few years. This years is almost £500:eek:

I predict losing a few hours of my life searching the net over the next few days...

Apparently premiums have risen considerably over the last 12-24 months as there have been so many more winter accidents! No idea how true that actually is - just what the bird in Swintons told me.

Mines gone up alot too with NFU, searched net but could only save a few quid on there price so everyone has put prices up. Switched to NFU last year as I had trouble finding insurance for my basic modified 110, so i've stayed with them as i'm prob gonna add some more accessories and they have said they won't increase premium for that.

Ill certainly be shopping around.

baniradley, just tried Frank Pickles but they wont cover me as its my main vehicle and I exceed 5000 miles anually. Will give others a try.

My re newal has just come in from admiral, ok i have two cars but my Landy is a 98 300TDI 90 Hard top, with winch, winch bumper, tree sliders, snorkal, dog gaurd, steering gaurd, diff gaurd, tank gaurd, Roof bars, Interior panneling,a seat fitted in the rear, Roof bar+ lights and a rear light, work also chequor plate as well . I insure it for 8 K miles fully comp with full business use it it is only £380,
Ok they dont replace like for like on the modification's they repair with standard parts, But if an accident isnt your fault you lawyer will recover any losses, And if it is your fault as long as it itsnt a cat A or B write of you can remove your modifications.

I find them the cheapest as i have been unlucky enough to be involved in a few accidentd, non fault of course but that doesnt make much difference to them

NFU wanted to put mine up by £100. I shouted at them doen the phone and they reduced it to just £30 more than last year.
I do insure 3 vehicles and my business with them though.

If they put it up stoopidly like that go elswhere. If we all went to another company every year they'd soon feel the need to be more competitive. It's a massive rip off. Mine was 84 quid last year and it's up soon. Any more than 100 quid and I'm off.
