Just got a 1985 defender with 75000 miles.love it byt want recommendation for good garage to czrry out maintenance on engine and gwarbox and do some small bodywork repairs any suggestions gratefully received. Live near Ascot
 
Welcome! What you've got there is either a Ninty or One-Ten due to age. Wasn't until 1990 that they became defenders!

We require pictures!
I'm afraid i can't help you with good garages near Ascot, i believe there's a good dealer/mechanic around the Liss/Liphook area, the names escaped me at the moment though i'm sure someone else will be along soon.
