Hi,

I've just joined after recently buying a 1.8 petrol Freelander...I know I'm a glutton for punishment. I've already done the obligatory drying out of the rear compartment along with replacing the rear trim fixings that let the water in. I look forward to bothering you with many problems in the future!!:)

Cheers,

Toffeeman

:welcome2: to the nut house, there's lots of you hair dresser types on here all will be willing to help im sure. The rest of us will just take the **** :D

1.8 gaylander FFS it don't get any worse than that  :D: D;) :welcome2:

Welcome and good luck. I had a 1.8 Freelander and thought it was a very under rated Landie. Ignore the 'Gaylander' **** from the diff lock snobs.
Regardless of how much I liked mine though, be warned that your head gasket will go sooner rather than later even if it's had a super duper uprated kit fitted with a head skim etc etc, be vigilant and check oil and water frequently (more than once a week).
