Hi guys, after always having performance cars i took a huge step and swapped my Evo 8 for a RR l322 3.0 Diesel. Obviously its a totally different beast but upto now im enjoying the drive. I do have a couple of questions to ask.....How do i zero the trip computer? ( the display that shows average speed and milage ) and also the guy i got the RR off also gave me a thingy ma jig that he said would increace power when fitted. Its boxed and has never been used....its called a "tunit V-CR" for BMW and Range Rover. Has any one heard of or used this product? Also why do some Range Rovers have Two vent Fins and Some Have Three? Oh and wheres the cheapest place to buy Chrome type bling? Second Hand 22s ect....Thanks guys in advance. Hunter

Welcome to the mad house that is LZ:)

Try keeping the (i) button pressed for a few secs, that should reset the trip computer.

Check out the Tunit website for more info on the box of tricks you've got, if it turns out to be bona fide then its likely a plug-in chip. If so, get off your arse and stick it in straight away, it'll revolutionise your motor :)

For the 2 versus 3 vents, its probably a trim level thing distinguishing the rif raf in the lower spec Rangies from the truly loaded in their supercharged ones, Do a bit of research on rangerovers.net, they normally have a year by year break out of exactly what trim changes were done to each model, at least they do for the RRC and P38's.

As regards bling, that sort of thing normally gets fairly short shrift around here but there are a few young'uns around with thick enough skin to tell old farts like me to sit on it and swivel. Each to their own but unless its done really well (and there are a few guys who've done it reeeallll well) and you know where to stop, I think it destroys the look of the RR.
Come to think of it, there was a guy lately with lambo doors on his P38 - now you've got to respect the work that went it to that (not necessarily like it but def respect it ;))

Thanks for the reply SpudH, i think im riffraff with a Diesel ha ha...hey but i like it. The tunit thing is a plug in chip with 25% gains accourding to the website. Im gona give them a phone today. The Bling thing...nope im not going overboard..just enoughto change the car to " put my mark on it" And iv tried keeping the button pressed..dosnt seen to do anything..............................

After talkin to a guy that fits the "tunit"(hes independent and says he has one on his van ) he says it safely ups the power from 177 bhp to 215 with gains to mpg so all good
