Hi guys, Not really looked at the car today, picked my mum up from the airport as she is staying with us for a week. I don't know for certain yet, but it looks like the car had a lot of money spent on it in the 80's. It looks like a wood and pickett rip off, either DIY or professional, but as I said in an earlier post the quality is questionable.

It may have looked great (quality) when it was first done, but over time and having passed through a few hands it doesn't have quite the same appeal now, however, the paint quality and body work is very good if it was done in the 80's (although part of the rear arch has been re-sprayed more recently and is not even close in terms of colour match), the chassis looks great, I am guessing was treated nicely in the 80's "re-furb" The Wheels are Gotti - they are a french brand and are quite sort after, used on Renault Alpine's etc. (I could sell the wheels for more than I paid for the car), The motor seems to be very strong and has the Edelbrock bit's, from what I have googled it looks to be the higher compression version (will check on the motor tomorrow). Windows have been replaced with electric winders and these work well enough although a little rapid! None of the gauges work. Also it has had a Spring and Shock lift, but not by much at a guess 2 inches. Oh and a stainless exhaust.

It realy is quite a dillemma, I would love to return it to an original '74 spec, but realise this will be difficult and expensive, on the other hand some of the modifications are quite nice (edelbrock), some are growing on me (wheels), some I'm not at all decided about (lift) some I hate (dash) and some I'm going to get rid of tomorrow (bull-bars) - although I may put the bars back if I decide I've actually got something with a bit of a story and decide to keep it as is, but tidy it up! Oh no, what do I do!

I will try and get some detailed photos tomorrow as it seems there is some interest.

All the best.
Jon

Looks like a nice motor , I will send you an invite to my 3 door owners group in a mo.

I have mine in bits at the moments if you want to see what they are like under there there are pics in the group and in my profile. I would try just tyding it up for now , drive it and see how you feel before spending mega bucks :)

Hi Zen, thanks for the link, yes the dash is almost identical, guages are in slightly different arrangement, and the instruments are in a Range Rover Binnacle, although the binnacle is covered in leather, and it is a later type than the original. I have not been able to get more photos yet, but will do either later today or tomorrow.
