Surely some electrical faults are okay like the Windows and central locking - that's fixable, right? I recall seeing something about it being related to battery removal.

The rest are relatively standard I guess. I presume too that if the air suspension lifts and lowers its fine - no special checks on th front.
 Nothing is standard on a Range Rover, leaking O rings on the heater with make the carpet wet in the driver foot well which will feck the BECM, nothing to do with battery removal. A weak battery or one that's allowed to discharge can cause all manner of problems. The air suspension may go up and down, but if the air bags are worn and leaking the compressor will soon give up the ghost. Then there is the RF receiver, the original MK1 0r MkII can respond to WiFi, wireless doorbells etc keeping the BECM awake and flattening the battery. HEVAC blend motors, aircon condensor failure, the list is endless.

Maybe a chipped diesel won't keep pace with a 4.6 but it will with a 4.0. Which incidentally has the same torque output as a chipped diesel and uses the same gearbox, so that sort of blows your conception out of the water. :D:D
But the torque curve of a chipped diesel is totaly different to the 4.0 and the torque reduction strategy is no longer as effective.

Certainly don't do as I did and buy it over the phone 300 miles away without seeing it and then get a guy to pick it up and drive it the 300 miles to your parents house whilst your on a track day and then go to the other side of the world for a week on business... That's just got disaster written all over it!

However it has gone well, only because of the sheer bravery during purchase haha.

So, that's exactly what I did over the weekend. Though in fairness, mine was 471 miles away :D!

Hi
Another newbie here. I have pressed submit twice with two queries and they have gone into the ether. I am sure when I sort out all the attributes I will come across them. Hope you dont mind me highjacking this post. I need some assistance with an EAS soft fault.

There is a New Thread button, use that, also go and introduce yourself.
As for your EAS soft fault, my crystal ball is in for service so I cannot help without more information as to what the problem is.
