Newbie slowly solving issues

Hi there not long ventured in to P38 ownership and been not too bad (so far) only job left to tackle is non functioning cruise control. This forum has been a great source of info and saved me a small fortune to date. Giving the interior a tidy up too and have ordered up a set of new armrest covers as old ones are pretty well shot - Ive got the armrests off the seats ok but stumped now as to how to remove the black knob for adjusting the height - does it just pull off? Any advice appreciated. Ta
