Hi I am in the process of looking to buy a Freelander to tow our Caravan. At present I have a Citroen Xsara picasso 2.0 HDi but it's 90 bhp is not good enough. I will of course miss the fuel economy but a compromise has to be made.

Caravan doesn't weigh much, bit over a ton I would guess. No idea what the citroen is rated to tow, but 90 hp is plenty for occasional towing. Getting a freelander is a pretty desperate step!
