Morning all my name is Darrell and I have just brought my Td4 series 1, I've come from the world of Range Rover Sport SC and also own an E90 m3 which I am not to keen on driving in winter :D
I've looked into all the faults with these bad boys and seem to have a good one, is there any way to service the VCU to prolong its life? What does the EGR blanking do? and is it a job a competent DIYer can tackle.?
Anyway, I won't go on, here's to a snowy winter so I can play a bit....
Ps what are the best all year tyres with a nod to winter?
cheers Darrell

That's quite an engine on the E90 - what the hell is like on snow/ice? Still love the Beemers - I have a little Z4 2.0i to play with and I love it as much as my Landy. (well, almost)

Haha it certainly is an amazing car. 4.0 ltr V8 certainly goes and sounds amazing. I've only had it 3 months and didn't want to try it in the ice/snow. Hence the freelancer purchase :)
