Newbie from Rugby

Hi all,

my names Andy im 22 from Rugby.

bit about me... at 16 i was co-owner to a 1973 Landrover series 3. she was solid in the right places and fitted with the 2.25 petrol lump (eurgh) bought for a pricey sum of £700 the plan was to just have a bit a fun doing lanes, first thing done was weller wheels and mud tyres...owned the landy about 3 weeks and eventually plucked up to do a pay and play..did sibbertoft and to cut a long story short ended up neck deep in alot of water and with a soggy Land Rover. took a week to get her dried out and running again then finally sold her.

Moved on to a 1962 landy... galv chassis and all the trimmings on it..(overdrive, FWH blah blah blah) it just looked abit sorry body work wise... so we painted the whole thing replaced the wings but then decided it was far too clean to offroad so we sold it... DOH

so to current day.

just bought a 1996 discovery 300tdi... bought it for £600 with tax and test... literally had a week and already fitted a new teriferma 2" lift and a snorkel.....ill be takin the tow bar off this weekend.... need to find me some 33" wheels too

so yeah...

Funny enough I have a black 300tdi disco and a 1977 series 3 nowadays as well....oh and i'm also 22 and live in rugby

Theres 3 of my friends in Rugby that i go out with often, usually just the ford and a few lanes. i used to crack the OS maps out a couple years back and go hunting around, just have to be careful nowerdays not to ruin things or tread on anyones toes!.

thanks all for the warm welcome.... ill post the progress as i go...done alot of swearing over the past couple of days at it lol (i love rusty bolts!) but we are getting there!
