Howdy Pardners,
Just dropped in here by chance and kinda like what I see.
I'm from the Weardale area of Durham, where I've driven more of these rugged rascals than I could shake a stick at,.... up hill and down dale,......through hell and high water,....through snow, ice and bog,...through muck and bullets and everything else the X ball and chain used to throw in my direction,...but mostly on my hill farm up here in wooly back country, way out in the wiles of wanny, for many more years than I care to remember.
Cant really say they've ever let me down apart from the odd occasion when they've sunk out of sight in a bog or disappeared under a few meters of snow many, many moons ago.
So look forward to hearing a few of your adventures.
Best Regards to All,....Alby.

ow do duk.

Aye aye marrer,
Thats a right load of bull you got there.
Had one just like it,right big softie he was,a proper pet, till he turned round and caved me ribs in one day, cos I forgot to give him his nuts,(cowcake for the posh),kept a very close eye on him after that.

Yeh,them limies cud be right flighty baskets, used to tak off and clear nine dykes and a lonnan, better than any hoss, when we were trying to round em up for market.
The hurryfud must have had a mean streak as well.
The owd folk used to sit inside the auction ring til one day a batch of his calves went in and cleaned them all out.
Bloody hilarious,..the owd timers was diving head fist ower the rails and two of em shinned half way up a stanchion trying to save their bacon.
Nee mare sitting inside the ring after that day, if my mad boogers were coming in!.......

next door av jus got rid of ther limy n gon fa a blonde t try n quite em down a bit.burrit dunt matter wot breed yuv got or ow quite a bull is,ya can neva trust em.

farmer i do a bit for has blondes nice beasts, an yer right jimbot can neva trust em even cows farmers son got crushed between gates by a cow smashed his jaw, ribs, lost part of a finger anorl

ello ello:D
theres a simmi and a blonde on the farm where i keep my horses, never any trouble and lived together fine until farmer thought one had gone sterile and pulled him into the barn for a couple of weeks, let him back out and all hell broke loose:doh: needless to say one of 'ems back in the barn:rolleyes: beautiful beasts tho, :)

i like belted galloways, one day il av some.

Yes I had Blondes for quite a few years,(talkin aboot beef not birds),although my X Swedish blondes were probably far more dangerous than any bull....LOL.....but thats another story.
Poor old Tiger eh,(now the Swedish mother in laws on the way over to finish the poor bugger off).
Went onto the Belgium Blues after that.
Used to have Galloways and Gall X way back when we were short on buildings. They were about the only thing cud handle the Winter up our way,.....real tough boggers they were,....bit wild an all with running out all year,.....kicked like a mule,....evil when they had a new born calf,....had a few close shaves,...and hides like a bloody rhino,...trying to jab them was a nightmare,...needles used to just break and bend like matchsticks.
Liked the belted Galloways and the Blue-Greys,(gall x beef shorthorn) were a good hardy cross as suckler cows when we could get them,....could stand the weather and seemed to live for ever,..not like some of these delicate soft skinned namby pamby breeds thats about now.
