Hello everyone,

I've been viewing the forum for a while now as a guest but thought I should officially join as I'm on here nearly every day.

My names Mitch, I'm 24 and from Derby.

I've owned my Disco 1 (300tdi ES) for about 6 weeks now.

Loved every moment of it so far, even though I did break it first time I took it off road (much to the delight of my girlfriend and parents haha). Ended up blowing the rear diff apart, not sure how it happened but I must admit my enthusiasm for the disco was slightly hurt. I've been busy the last few weeks getting the old girl fixed and improved a lot of other things and just giving it a general tidy.

I've got a slight power steering leak to fix and then it's MOT time and play time :)

Here's a photo, I'll get some better ones next time I'm working on it.

To my knowledge it's had:

- 2 inch suspension lift (springs + shocks)
- front winch bumper
- front winch
- snorkel
- EGR delete
- modular wheels with M/S tyres (265/70/15) if I remember correctly.
- light bar with LED lights
- 50mm arches

Things I have done (since those photos where taken):

- fitted an updated battery (130ah / 1000cca)
- fitted new rear bumper lights
- replaced the rear diff
- changed the diff oils (will replace transfer box oil at weekend)
- given the engine a service (filters + oil)
- bought a few recovery items (ropes + shackles)
- re-done the winch cable as it wasn't on the barrel correctly
- new front indicators, old ones where smashed at the edges
- uprated headlight bulbs
- plastics 'discovery' boot liner
- given it a massive clean inside, it was filthy!

Future plans:

- fix the power steering leak
- fit front radius arms (have them just need to fit)
- rear trailing arms
- wide angle props
- 1.5m roof rack + ladder
- new stainless exhaust with side exit
- rubber mats

Thanks for looking, and I look forward to hopefully getting to know some of you and getting out laning.

Mitch.
