Good morning all
I’m the new kid! I bought a RR Sport SE last month (2.7 TDV6) and have had 32 days trouble free motoring!
This morning on the way to work had suspension warning and EML light come up on the dash (both orange), not in limp mode.
Luckily still under warranty so it’s off to KMotors in Leyland to be looked at.
I know there’s going to be faults cropping up through the next couple of years, but hey, I got a Rangey and it’s the best motor I’ve had so far!

Welcome:)

Nice to hear you love it.
Glad you got warranty, when the garage fix it, could you please come back and tell us the reason and the fix.

Thanks
J

Result. I didn't get 32 miles.

UPDATE: so the report from the garage is that the EGR valve has seized open and the compressor for the suspension isn’t exhausting properly.

Both item items being replaced but warranty company won’t cover the cost of a new suspension compressor. Bit of a pain in the arse but the dealer I bought it from is going to help out. Result!

If compressor isn't kicking out good air it may have worn out feeding a leak.

When the new one is fitted put it on the highest setting, open the passenger door and then pull the EAS delay timer relay from under the passenger seat. Leave it overnight and see if she drops. If a corner drops then there's a leak on that corner, probably the bag.

I don't think the guy has a P38:rolleyes:

That doesn't always work.

On my p38, the suspension will still move with a door open (any door) and I've yet to work out why.

If it's any door, it narrows it down a bit. Need to look at RAVE, but I'd guess that there is a link from the BECM to the EAS ECU, so corroded connectors are a possibility.

Hi

As far as I’m aware the sport hasn’t got a delay timer relay

Here a link of the system , basically the same as my D3

Really need it plugging into diagnostics because of the complexity of these vehicles

To stop it self levelling , pull fuse F26

If a door is opened the suspension will stop moving

Indeed as @Grrrrrr mentions , if it’s not exhausting it could be it’s not building up to the req pressure because of a leak , which if there is will as said burn the compressor out

Had the pleasure of having to tear mine apart when I first got it and took months to sort everything out, virtually rebuilt the entire suspension system

Need the fault codes and live data of the pressure and valve blocks

Fault light looks like a vehicle with 2 x arrows over it

But a steering wheel angle sensor can also cause that light to show
