Just a quick hello to all, Im back in to the world on LR ownership with a freelander 1,2002. I used to own a 74 series 3 88" lovely vehicle and only sold it because money was tight at the time also bobtailed a 73 range rover back in the day when the things were ten a penny.
Anyway I saw this one cheap 600 and decided to take the plunge, have since found out why it was cheap (VCU seized) the Ird seems ok along with the rear diff but the diff bushes are shot so have taken the props and vcu off for the moment to run in fwd, ordered new diff mounts and am saving up for a recon vcu, apart from that everything seems fine (touch wood).
So no doubt you will be getting a few questions thrown at you by me in the coming weeks as to why I lost my mind and bought another bloody LR.
