Another question , there gear knob with the hill decent trigger can this be changed out like for like as the gear knob is threaded and turning notice @ that there is a small but just below.

Small what looks like 10mm bolt just under the hill decent trigger it's under the gaiter

Cant see why it can't be swapped over from another car. The only electronics is the HDC switch which is a simple switch.

You'd want to try and get 1 from the same engine/box and rough year (eg not a facelift if your's isn't) just in case there's some difference in the 'packaging'. Just make sure it looks the same like-for-like.

Thanks yeah looks like for like small white conection for the hdc to undo mine's is 2003 per face lift would be coming of a 2002

Your's will have the Teves Mk25 ABS where as a 2002 may have the Teves Mk20 - however, I'm sure the HDC switches will be the same.
